RH9 Nissan Skyline GT
Nissan's most powerful car the Skyline GT-R. Visit your leading Phoenix Nissan dealer today to learn more about the 2012 Nissan GT-R's standard and available features. What the GT-R doesn't have at any price are active safety features: This is a car designed to be driven by someone who wants to be fully engaged in the experience.
As Nissan began to tap that desirability, special editions began to emerge, and these are some of the most special Japanese-made cars in history. A common modification is to install the two scoops in the front bumper from the Nismo model and to remove the screen from in front of the intercooler, as a feature of the Nismo cars, as is a small front spoiler on the leading edge of the hood.
While it retained all-wheel drive, the gearbox was now a six-speed automatic, and the engine a 3.8-litre V6. What's in a name, you must think, but with the R35, Nissan decided to distance the high performance model from the Skyline range, hence the R35 is just called GT-R.
Basic controls are within reach and are as easy to operate as in any other Nissan vehicle. Nissan says the the crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods and bearings, piston oil jets and camshaft profiles have all been uprated, while the engine also benefits from optimised ignition timing along with new intake and exhaust systems.
The overall cabin layout of the Nissan GT-R feels a bit dated now compared to the last model. The interiors, for example, you can't compare them with the zenki (early cars, in JDM buff speak) cars. Anyone who has ever Nissan Skyline GT-R tiptoed into an online car forum will recognize the great battles that have been fought over the relative greatness of Skyline-badged models in comparison with other (lesser?) cars.
Once a tantalisingly forbidden fruit, now that the R32 GT-R is more than 25 years old, it can legally be imported into the US. This has started to have a knock-on effect on pricing, with demand for clean, unmolested cars at Japanese auctions starting to pick up noticeably.
The Nissan Skyline GT-R was released with several limited editions, produced by NISMO. Picking up where the legendary Skylines of the past left off, the Nissan GT-R delivers straight-line performance that can't be beat by cars five times its price. The Nissan GT-R price in India is Rs. 1.99 Crore (Ex-Showroom) and needless to say, it would have extremely limited buyers.
